DECODING THE IDEAL WORKPLACE

Spencer was invited by CBRE to tender for the design and build of Boston Scientific’s Fit-out Project at Dubai Science Park. BSci is highly proactive in the well-being of their office users, therefore, Spencer worked closely with them throughout the project to promote both the aesthetic and comfort elements of their office design.


BRINGING BRAND TO LIFE

Dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions, our team developed a concept design for BSci that highlights the heart of what they do. An important factor of the design was the complete compliance with the Global Guideline document that was received from the client. The branding guidelines were consisted of a vast array of brand colors to mirror the organization without overwhelming the design.

Upon award, Spencer worked collaboratively with the client representatives to further refine and baseline the design that would satisfy the entirety of their technical, operational, aesthetical, and ethical requirements. Matterport scans were also provided on a weekly basis to update the client with the layout improvements.

The office has an open layout, emphasizing a communal work environment and favoring an agile working concept to improve the baseline focus, creativity, and output of employees. The workplace’s highlight is its themed breakout area that gives an outdoor picnic vibe. One of BSci’s brand colors that needs to be utilized is pink, a challenging color to work with. To incorporate it, our team placed a cherry blossom tree on the bar counter with billowy pink blooms, adding a dreamy touch to the area. The floor’s calming shades of blue also took inspiration from the BSci’s brand colors.


A SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATION

The project was delivered successfully in accordance with the program and handover date. The Boston Scientific team, CBRE, and Spencer’s Project Manager, MEP Manager, and Senior Interior Designer worked proactively to guide the project seamlessly to its goal. The result was a contemporary and open office with multi-use spaces for mobile working.
